Mérida International Airport

Merida has it's own airport but it's mostly for national flights, with some international options. From there the cheapest way to reach the city center is by ADO bus. It takes around 20 minutes.

Cancún International Airport

This is the closest international airport to Merida. With direct flights from many cities in Europe and USA. From there the cheapest way to the city center is with ADO bus, the ticket costs $120 mxn (6 eur). It takes around 25 minutes.

Train

Bus Cancun-Merida

We've used ADO Buses to travel from Cancun to Merida several times. It's the cheapest option. You can also use ADO to travel from Cancun airport to Cancun city center and then to Merida.

Tren Maya

The Maya Train has recently launched a new route between Cancun Airport and Merida. While we haven’t had the chance to try it yet, our family and friends have given it great reviews. Just a heads up—you can only book tickets a week in advance.
