Maid of Honor
Elisa is Gaby's younger sister who is her complete compliment. They can be found every Christmas arranging ukulele and vocal harmonies. Elisa makes the best playlists, the tastiest cookies, and is an enigmatic powerhouse who spent a year living with wolves in Colorado, studies toxicology, and writes poetry. Gaby happily benefits from all of her sister's talents and thinks she is the coolest.
Best Man
Sergio is John's older brother. Surge (as we all call him) has been there for John through the good, the bad and the ugly. He once closed the house door on John as a swarm of bees charged after them. John returned the favor later that year and dropped a door on him. They remain the best of brothers.
Bridesman
Bryant is Gaby's younger brother and childhood accomplice in sneakily pouring sugar in their bowls of cheerios. Bryant is a prolific writer and artist on his own time, and has probably read every book, comic, and graphic novel 3 times over. He is also the silent hero who once jumped off a boat to save Elisa from being pulled under by a current.
Officiant
Jordan is one of Johns best high school friends. John first met Jordan in 9th grade gym class, when Jordan decided it was a good idea to wear a cashmere sweater to exercise. He is now John's trustee attorney and overall life consultant...except when it comes to fashion.
Bridesmaid
Doris and Gaby are high school friends, college comrades, post-college roommates, and generally two peas in the most supportive pod of friendship. Doris is a journalist-turned teacher, and shares Gaby's love of all things Harry Potter, coffee, and questionable food decisions- all things John rolled his eyes at when the three of them lived together last year.

Martin is one of Johns oldest friends. In 7th grade, John got pushed into a pile of manure by a mutual friend; Martin offered a hand and pulled him up from the cow poo. They have been besties since.
Bridesmaid
Samyra and Gaby's universes entwined during their study abroad in Tajikistan in 2010! Samyra's friendship was both a magnetic adventure, and a dose of the best parts of home, a truism that has only made their bond stronger state-side over the last 9 years of moves, jobs, schools, family, and the most creative Halloween costumes you will ever encounter.
Groomsman
Charlie is one of John's best high school friends. He is probably John's handiest friend and the most knowledgeable in all things cars, though somehow thinks fox-body mustangs are the best cars ever. He also shares John's love of Larry David.
Bridesmaid
Amanda and Gaby met through mutual friends at a 5K in 2012 when Gaby was profusely sweating and dying on the inside and Amanda gave her an uplifting and supportive cheer. Their friendship grew quickly and organically through yoga teacher training, acro, and living on R st. Amanda has a vast knowledge in earth sciences, can name the hidden pinetrails of the forest, and make the best fridge salad with the sunsweet berries of the earth.

Levi is one of John's best high school friends. They instantly bonded over their mutual love of classic rock, Arnold movies, and loitering in parking lots. His favorite movie is Hellboy.
Bridesmaid
Katie and Gaby met as two bright-eyed psychology students at a UMD orientation. Their mutual stalking of one another in a subsequent statistics class solidified their need to be friends, and so they became roommates. Katie is professionally and HR guru, Gaby's most life-saavy friend, and life-saving provider of sweets.
Groomsman
Eric is one of John's best high school friends. Eric introduced John to all things indie and remains the chillest dude in the room. He is an artist and a designer. Eric played a key role in helping John with the proposal in CA.
Bridesmaid
Allie and Gaby's friendship was forged in and between college classes, implementing psychology assessments on life experiences, through Regina Spektor, and tea time. Favorite memory: The weekend they took off to the coast and hopped beach towns with the windows rolled down, music blasting, and lavender plants in the back seat.

Carl is one of John's best high school friends. He is a self starter, designer, entrepreneur, and dog-dad. He shares John's struggle of trying to grow good facial hair. Some of us call him Rodney.

Natalie and Gaby met a Montgomery College and quietly bonded over the doodles they kept in old school notebooks. Gaby quickly realized that Natalie's artistry is expansive and her capacity for attending as many cultural, music, art, film, and random events is unparalleled. Since then, they've danced through countless concerts side-by-side and traveled together far and wide.

Jon Kerr is one of John's best high school friends. He is Jon's funniest friend and the youngest friend to reach full beard status. Jon is also the only one that picks up on John's rarest pop culture references.

James is one of John's best high school friends. They instantly bonded over their love of all things punk rock and Spiderman. They were once in a punk band together but never played any music...it remains the quietest band ever.

Tom is one of John's oldest friends. They would spend many of their early teenage days pretending to skateboard and to out poser each other. They also formed a band in middle school called Urine Sample, they sucked but reached mild success in the school cafeteria.
