Dating is hard in today's age. Thinking you will randomly meet the love of your life in a grocery store or bumping into the other while you are chasing your dog that escaped does not happen all that much anymore. Today's dating world is driven by social media and electronic communication (surprise I know). I (Gabrielle) heard about Timmy from two of my good friends (Kayley Argenbright and Brandon Clark) who were good friends with him. He sparked my interest so I started asking a few questions here and there about him. Thankfully they had nothing but good things to say about him. And so, (the first time I EVER did something like this) I messaged him on Facebook. He messaged back, and well we had our first date about a month after that. We both ended the night knowing we had found the person we had been waiting so long for.
Between living 30 minutes away from each other and all of the overtime we both chose to work, Timmy and I were not able to spend that much time together. We wanted to celebrate our one year of being together so we took a day off together and planned a day full of fun. Little did I know what he had in mind. I woke up sick with bronchitis feeling pretty miserable wanting to reschedule our day date. Timmy encouraged me to just rest during the morning, and load up on cold medicine. I knew how much we both were looking forward to this so I pushed through and got ready to spend the day with him. We started with a trip to Wild Wolf Brewery where we had our very first date. Random Wednesday mid-day meant the place was practically empty. We had the entire outside to ourselves. He went in to order our blonde hunny, and came out with a present for me. I opened the gift, which was a message in a bottle and took out the scroll of paper. As I read "Will you marry me" I looked over at him as he sneakily got down on one knee. First words that came out of my mouth were "are you sure!?" as I saw my beautiful engagement ring. You could tell his nerves were through the roof as he shakily said "yes I'm sure!" and well, of course I said YES!
