Is there parking available for the ceremony + reception?

Answer

Yes! Our venue, Bernardus Lodge, offers free valet parking for wedding guests.

Is transportation provided?

Answer

We do not have transportation provided to the venue before the ceremony. We recommend driving and parking at Bernardus, carpooling, or if needing a ride, scheduling a Lyft/Uber well in advance. We will have shuttles returning to Carmel Mission Inn only at the end of the evening (starting at 10:30 PM onwards). Shuttles will depart from the Bernardus hotel lobby. What is the dress code?

Answer

Black-tie optional - Think formal Summer garden party. Floor length dress or cocktail dress recommended for ladies, and either suit or tuxedo for men. Keep in mind: The ceremony and dinner will take place on grass, so we recommend a suitable heel. Dancing will be indoors in the ballroom. Ladies: bring a shawl, it can get chilly in the valley at night.

When should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

We will have refreshments available in the Rose Garden from 3:30-4. Please arrive within this timeframe, as the ceremony will begin promptly at 4 PM.
