We were introduced by some of our favorite coworkers. We immediately hit it off with abundant enthusiasm and endless conversation. A beautiful friendship was born. Soon we were planning to be more than travel buddies, food connoisseurs, or roller coaster fanatics. We were planning our lives together.

We booked a trip to California in January. Staying in Napa Valley was an experience I had looked forward to for a long time. Steven surprised me with a 4 course meal riding through the vineyards in the magnificent vista dome on the Napa Valley Train. As the blissful trip came to an end Steven stood up and leaned in with a soft romantic gesture. He proposed to me and I cried out, “ I’d be honored” as the entire car applauded. We shared tears, champagne, and kisses on our way back through the vineyards with grins from ear to ear.
