Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Gabrielle DeAngelo and Logan Byers
Since Sorrento is super well-located, it's the perfect hub for day trips to our favorite spots—Positano and Capri. Whether you're relaxing on Positano’s beaches or exploring Capri’s famous luxury and stunning views, we can’t wait for you all to experience these incredible places. Make sure to carve out some time to explore—you won’t regret it!
Positano

Positano

Positano, Campania 84017, Italy

Take a dip at the famous Spiaggia Grande! The ferry drops you right at this stunning beach. Beach chairs are €40 for front-row seats or €35 for second row. Enjoy food and drinks at this iconic spot while soaking up those postcard-worthy views. Pro tip: it's a rocky beach, so bring sturdy flip-flops! Not a beach person? No worries! Wander the charming town, grab lunch at literally any spot (trust me, they're all amazing), and just let the vibe take over! Positano is basically a built-in workout with all the stairs and hills, so if you're not staying at the beach, pack your tennis shoes. Your calves (and feet) will thank us later! Linking beach chair rental information here!

Capri

Capri

Capri, Campania 80076, Italy

When you take the 30 minute ferry from Sorrento to Capri, you’ll have plenty to explore! Check out the famous luxury town filled with lemon groves, high-end shops, and beautiful views, or relax at the beach. You can also hop on the gondola for a ride up to stunning viewpoints or visit Capri’s famous rocks, the Faraglioni. For the adventurous, don't miss out on a tour of the Blue Grotto—perfect for a day trip! Linking the Blue Grotto Tour here!

Ferry Booking Website

Ferry Booking Website

We recommend using either FerryScanner or FerryHopper to get to Positano or Capri!

Boat Tours

Boat Tours

Booking a private boat for the day is a fun way to see the coast from a different perspective! We recommend using GetYourGuide or Viator for tours as you may get a better deal than booking in person on the beaches.

Day trip to Pompeii

Day trip to Pompeii

You can easily visit this world-famous UNESCO World Heritage Site at the base of Mt. Vesuvius! Pompeii is only a short 40 minute train ride from Sorrento and you can visit without a guide.

Cooking Classes

Cooking Classes

Immerse yourself in Italian culture and cuisine with a cooking class! Again, we recommend booking these through GetYourGuide or Viator or a similar service.

Beaches In Sorrento

Beaches In Sorrento

There are a few spots that are considered free public beaches, but the majority of the shoreline is owned by various beach clubs. This is great because you have access to restrooms, food, drinks, deck chairs and umbrellas. Who doesn't love a beach club?
