We’re getting married!!

Kaelen and Gabrielle met in 2013 in speech class. It wasn't exactly "love at first site," but Kaelen was persistent! He asked Gabrielle out a couple of times over the next few weeks, and when she finally said yes, the chemistry was nearly instant. Kaelen and Gabrielle have been together for 9 years. Some of their favorite memories are their time at Mizzou, finally getting to live together after 3 years of long distance and exploring the beautiful state of Colorado.

If you know anything about Gabrielle, you know she's a hard one to surprise - but Kaelen pulled it off! Gabrielle was visiting Colorado over spring break and Kaelen planned for the couple to stay in an Airbnb for a snowboarding weekend. Months prior, a photographer reached out to Gabrielle on social media and asked if her and her boyfriend would mind modeling for her to help her build her portfolio. Gabrielle accepted, but the photoshoot fell over the planned snowboarding weekend. When Gabrielle asked Kaelen if he would mind taking a few hours for the shoot, he said he didn't mind. Fast forward to the snowboarding weekend / day of the photoshoot, the couple got ready and packed the car to be ready to head to the slopes following the shoot. After meeting with the photographer, they walked to a beautiful outlook in the trees overlooking Lake Dillion (Gabrielle's favorite spot in CO). Right then Kaelen dropped to his knee and popped the question!! Turns out, Kaelen had booked the photographer months prior to capture their proposal. Gabrielle was overwhelmed with surprise. It was a truly magical moment.
