Father of the Bride
Daddy, you taught me many things in life but the biggest thing is that choosing to grow is powerful and life changing. I have experienced life with you as you faced some of your most painful adversity and I have seen you face that pain for good or bad. You love God fiercely. In many ways you are a hero to me. It brings me to tears thinking about sharing such a special moment with you by my side. Thank you for being the best father you could be...now only two more to go ;) I love you daddy.
Mother of the Bride
Momma, you have taught me so many things throughout the years but most of all I feel you taught me how to love. As an adult who is about to start her own family, I see so many of the qualities in myself that I love about you. God gave you to me to nurture my sensitive and compassionate spirit. You taught me the power of choice. You are one of the strongest and bravest women I know. I am so glad to call myself your daughter. I hope to honor you in that you helped raise me into this strong, confident woman who went after her dreams and found her way. I love you more than I can ever tell you.
Father 2.0
God must have really thought I needed multiples of everything! You came to me during such an important part of my life. You hugged me when I cried, you listened when I was angry. You showed me men can be tender and strong all in the same breath. You showed fun and adventure. How special I must be to have not just one man I see as my father but two. You played a huge part in raising me into the woman I am today. I could not imagine walking down the aisle without both of you guiding me. I love you.
Sister Of Honor
It is funny how God has special plans only he knows about. I believe Kaylee was one of those. We came into each others lives during difficult transitions and got to build our own sister roles for each other as we faced those growing pains. There is a moment when people are so connected they can sense each other. There have been moments when our sister sense was tingling because we needed each other. I have never experienced family as strictly blood. Kaylee has taught me gentleness and the importance of intention. It feels like just yesterday we were fighting over who would marry their perfect husband in the game of life or our barbie sessions. I can not imagine my special day without my honorary sister by my side. In many ways, you were my first love. I love you.
Maid of Honor
There are some people who are greater than words. Shantina is one of them so I will do my best. Shantina came to me during a really challenging part of my life, one which some of my lowest lows happen. She stood by my side with love and patience as I found my way again. Shantina is one of the strongest women I know and I believe to this day she gave me some of her strength which got me here. Shantina loves deeply, fights with bravery, and always knows when a joke is needed (or not)...It is my honor to call you one of my Maids of honor. I love you.
Maid of Honor
One of the many great things Shantina brought into my life was Alanna. I knew from the moment I met Alanna I wanted some of that goddess energy! She is a force to be reckon with. Alanna has taught me how to love all of the beauties of being a woman as well as given me the confidence to stand my ground and fight for what I believe. What a privilege to get to experience life with someone with that kind of energy. Alanna is a great balance to my Gemini qualities ;). She is warm, loving, and hilarious. It is my honor to have you as one of my Maids of Honor. I love you.
To the one who gave me life
I wanted to pay a special honor to the woman who raised me in her belly and birthed me into this world. You gave me life. I know many years were lost but I am thankful to have you here on my special day to see that baby you gave life to happily thriving. I am so thankful for you. I see so many pieces of you in me which I love. I am glad we can add this day to our memory book. I love you.
Father of the Groom
Dad, you taught me from a very young age how to be a respectful man. Over the years you've given me countless lessons on everything in life. Taxes, cars, jobs, women to name a few. I can't thank you enough for all of those memories and I will never forget any of those lessons. You told me at my graduation dinner not to let her get away. You called it and here we are. When you know you know I guess. Love you Dad.
Mother of the Groom
Mom, where to begin? You've helped me an immeasurable amount over my life. Not only are you an incredible mother but you've been one of my best friends my whole life. I am very lucky to have such a loving & compassionate mother. Like Dad, you also instilled great values in me and helped me understand what it means to be a simple loving man. You introduced God into my life and without your support I wouldn't be where I am today. Love you Mom.
Best Man
Though we haven't known each other long Darren, you mean a great deal to me. I respect you so much as a man. You and Shantina were pivotal in Gabby and I's relationship. When Gabby introduced me to you all, I could quickly tell the type of man you are. You have an intelligent head on those shoulders and most of all, you love, support, and cherish your wife in an amazing way. I am honored to have you as my best man.
Groomsman
We haven't known each other for that long either Sean but, like Darren and Shantina, you and Alanna helped shaped Gabby and I's relationship to be what it is today. I love our talks about science and the mysteries of the world. You have a curious mind and I love hearing your perspective on things. You bring good vibes into our lives and we can't thank you enough.
Groomsman
Paco, we have known each other for a long time now. It's crazy to think back to all of the stuff we got into and did in Middle School. Yelling Duh! at the top of our lungs for no reason other than we were bored to being unable to control our laughter at 3am at my Grandparent's. We weren't always deeply involved in each others lives over the years but every time we see each other, its like no time has passed. By the way, I really need to thank you for getting me that job at Chipotle cause without that, I probably never would have met Gabby. Thanks brother.
