Multiple trailheads in the Boise foothills overlooking the city. The famous Table Rock loop is about 4 miles with steep incline. Hike in the morning to beat the heat as there's limited to no shade!

Quinn's Pond

Rent paddleboards from Idaho River Sports and plop them in the water nearby at Quinn's pond! Usually reservations beforehand are not necessary- however we still suggest calling ahead of time.

Delicious food located in the heart of downtown Boise. You'll probably need a reservation on opentable to dine!

One of our favorite places to dine in the valley. The best carrot cake- EVER!

Boise River Greenbelt

Boise River Greenbelt, Boise, ID

The place in Boise that stole our heart- the greenbelt! Our favorite way to escape the heat. The river is snowmelt from the mountains, making for refreshing water temperatures. There are tons of access points to the Boise Greenbelt as it connects the city of Boise to the city of Eagle

The Military Reserve

750 Mountain Cove Road, Boise, ID 83702

Another popular hiking area in the valley. Get there early to beat the heat. There's limited shade in the desert! Check out all trails for specific routes.

Bogus Basin

ID 83629

A popular spot for locals in the summer for cooler day temperatures and a place to be surrounded by lush forest. Some popular hikes include Stack Rock, Shafer Butte Trail, and the Bogus East Side Loop. Check all trails or the Bogus Basin website for more information about distance, bathroom access, parking, etc.
