JD had just moved to Illinois from Massachusetts and wanted to meet new people. Gabby was finishing her senior year at ISU. Where else did you go in 2021 to date? The dating apps of course. When JD first saw Gabby's profile on Bumble, he immediately noticed her kind and beautiful eyes and was intrigued by her love for dietetics. When Gabby first saw JD, she was interested in his outgoing, thoughtful, and fun personality. They both decided to swipe right and it was off to the races from there. After a few weeks of messaging back and forth, JD finally got up the courage to ask Gab on their first date. They met at Starbucks in Peoria and Gab took JD on a tour of the city. They spent hours together that night and never ran out of things to talk about. They connected on a whole host of things from being the oldest child, to just missing out on being valedictorian (salutatorians for life!), to their love for all things food. 3 more dates followed the first and JD asked Gabby to be his girlfriend. From then on they were inseparable. Three different apartments, two different cities, four different jobs, and plenty of laughs, smiles, and memories later, they are so excited to officially start their married life together. They can't wait to celebrate the best day of their lives with all their friends and family!
