Gabrielle and Christian met the modern way, on a dating app, in December 2023. Their first date took place in Dana Point and included dinner, a stroll around the harbor, and admiring the Christmas lights… all in the rain. Over the next few months, they got to know each other and quickly realized they were inseparable. Within just one month of dating, they booked a trip to Hawaii for six months later, clearly confident this was going to be something serious. In the months leading up to their big trip, they explored closer to home, with a memorable getaway to Catalina Island for their birthdays (which are only five days apart!). About a year later, they began building a life together in Rancho Santa Margarita with their cat, Maisey, and shortly after settling into their new home, they added another beloved member to the family: their dog, Daisy. We’re still in awe that a love like this found us, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s next. We can’t wait to celebrate our love with all of you!
Gabrielle travels often for work, so when Christian suggested a last-minute trip to Catalina before a weeklong work trip, she briefly suspected a possible engagement, though quickly dismissed the thought, assuming he wouldn’t plan something like that so spontaneously (little did she know, it wasn’t last minute at all). Christian said they were going to a nice dinner to celebrate “them” and mentioned a scenic view he wanted to show her. Gabrielle didn’t think twice and went along with it. As she walked down and heard Gregory Alan Isakov, an artist they had seen together multiple times, and saw a stunning floral setup, it finally clicked. This was it. A proposal that was equally intimate as it was breathtaking. It perfectly captured everything that made their love so special.
