Blair and Gabby met at a wedding in Scotland...He was the Best Man to the Groom, her parents were Godparents to the Bride, they had a few drinks, locked eyes across the dance floor, and the rest is history (cheers Nash and Thalia)! Neither of them really expected it to go further - he based in London and she in LA - but they couldn't help themselves from talking every day and eventually making plans to visit, now live in, each other's cities. They were lucky to never truly be in a long-distance relationship until the pandemic came along, which only made them appreciate each other's company even more.

Just before COVID began to ravage the whole world, they managed to sneak in one last trip to Venice for Valentine's Day - a romantic getaway Gabby naively believed would simply be a holiday weekend celebrating Carnival and exploring the city with Blair. Once the photographer showed up...she still took the bait as Blair said it was just a Valentine's Day treat to please her mother since she always requests nice photos of them on their travels. In hindsight, yes Gabby knows she's an idiot - but it made sense at the time! He planned everything impeccably, including a private gondola ride to dinner, and it was a perfect weekend. One of their last before realizing they'd be separated during such a horrid year(s). But now they get to spend the rest of their lives together...and have been impatiently waiting to get married and celebrate ever since!
