Our Story “No, But I’ll Buy You One” On my dad’s birthday, I walked into a bar with my friend Aaron to have a drink in his honor. I had no idea that night would change my life. As soon as I walked in, I noticed a girl on the dance floor. She was beautiful effortlessly so. Hair in a bun, confident, glowing. I remember thinking she was way out of my league… and probably straight. So I admired from afar. After a few drinks and only about five minutes, she walked right up to me and asked if she could buy me a shot. I said, “No, but I’ll buy you one.” That turned into tequila shots… several of them. We talked, laughed, and I knew instantly she was something special funny, sweet, and stunning all at once. At one point, her eyelash was halfway off her eyelid, which Aaron and I couldn’t help but laugh about but somehow, it just made her even more perfect. Before the night ended, I asked for her number. Eventually, we had to leave but, not before something real had started. Then… I panicked. I blocked her for a week. After gathering the courage to actually shoot my shot, I texted her again and from that moment on, we never stopped choosing each other. What started with a shot of tequila turned into a love story we never saw coming. We’ve been together ever since, and on July 18, 2025, we said “I do.” Sometimes, love finds you exactly where you least expect it one drink, one smile, and one brave text later.
