Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport

Guests who are flying to New Orleans will arrive at MSY, located approximately 25 minutes west of the city. If you choose to rent a car, you will need to take a shuttle to the car rental facility. We recommend using Lyft (~$35 to downtown) or a taxi (~$50 to downtown).

Getting Around in New Orleans

Parking is available in most areas of New Orleans. If you know you want to explore different parts of the city, you may want to rent a car. Note: the rental car agencies are a bus ride from the airport. We highly recommend using Lyft or Uber as a more convenient, cost-efficient way to get around the city. Public transportation is not as comprehensive as other cities, so we don't recommend depending on public transport.

Join the Garden District room block at the Hotel Indigo, a 10-minute walk from our wedding venue! This hotel is a 15-minute car ride to the Welcome Drinks. NOTE: the hotel added additional rooms in our room block on 2/7. The link is up to date.

Royal Sonesta New Orleans

Join the French Quarter room block at the Royal Sonesta. This is the location of the Welcome Drinks on Friday night and is a 15-20 minute car ride to the Elms Mansion.

New Orleans Streetcars

If you do choose to use the streetcar (which can be a fun way to see St. Charles!) please review the information below. The streetcar costs $1.25. Have the exact amount ready or use the Le Pass app (linked below). If you are staying at the Hotel Indigo and don't want to walk to the wedding the streetcar is a good option. Note: it runs on an irregular schedule.

Please stay safe and alert during your time in NOLA! We don’t recommend walking near the highway overpass (near the warehouse / lower garden district) or into Central City beyond St Charles.
