Experience one of the most stunning national parks in the country. In March, expect snowy peaks, quiet trails, and incredible wildlife viewing. Guests can try winter hiking, snowshoeing, sledding or enjoying scenic drives to viewpoints like Many Parks Curve. Because it’s the shoulder season, the park feels calmer than in summer, perfect for anyone wanting mountain scenery without the crowds. We escape to the Rockies whenever possible and are both excited to share them with you.
A charming mountain downtown filled with local shops, galleries, cafés, and restaurants—great for wandering, eating, and picking up Colorado-made gifts. Guests can explore the Riverwalk, grab a warm drink at a local coffee shop, browse outdoor outfitters, or enjoy cozy taverns and chocolate shops. In March, downtown is lively but not packed, making it easy to stroll, shop, and enjoy the mountain-town atmosphere. Estes Park is also known for being owned by the occasional elk strolling through. Take lots of photos but do not touch the elk!
