FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00 PM. Please arrive 20 minutes before the start time to find a seat.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is black-tie optional.

Question

What does "black-tie optional" mean?

Answer

"Black-tie optional" means that guests have the option of wearing their most formal attire (an evening gown or tuxedo) but may also choose to wear a dark colored suit and tie, or floor length dress. Generally, a black-tie optional dress code means the couple and their wedding party will be dressed black tie. We also ask that you refrain from wearing colors reserved for the bride, including: white and ivory.

Question

Will the wedding be indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outside and the reception will be held inside.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If you have any questions, please reach out. If you receive a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP.

Question

Can I take photos and videos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you do not have your phones or cameras out during the ceremony. Our photographer and videographer will be capturing the ceremony and we don't want any phones in our photos.

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Please drink responsibly and we will have shuttles to take guests back to the Hilton Hotel.

Question

Is the welcome party for everyone?

Answer

Yes! We are so excited to see all of our loved ones the night before our wedding at Chatsworth Pub. The welcome party is from 7 PM - 9 PM for all guests - please RSVP using the QR code on your invitation if you plan on attending!

Question

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

While we love all the children in our lives, this is an adult only celebration. We encourage you to use this as a date night. We recommend www.jaxsitter.com for babysitting.

Question

Any suggestions on transportation that doesn’t involve parking?

Answer

Most of the Historic District is very walkable, but there are plenty of other options. Uber and Lyft are always readily available. There are also horse carriages and independent single ride/shuttle services. A company we have used frequently and like is Old Town Connect. Their website is www.otctransit.com and their phone number is 904-718-5188.

Question

Is there parking at Chatsworth Pub for the Welcome Party?

Answer

Unfortunately, there is not a dedicated parking lot for Chatsworth. There are metered spots lining the nearby streets and a public lot next to the south end of the Lightner Museum.

Question

Is there a shuttle service for the wedding?

Answer

Yes! There are 2 shuttles running from the Hilton Garden Inn to the River House. They leave at 5:00 and 5:10. A shuttle will be taking guests who wish to leave a little early back to the hotel periodically during the reception and it will make a final trip after it ends. Additionally, after the reception ends, an authentic St. Augustine trolley will be taking the bride and groom as well any guests who would like to join for a nightcap at a local bar.

Question

Is there parking at the wedding?

Answer

If you choose to drive, you can use the River House’s parking lot across the street. Also, the River House will allow you to leave your car overnight as long as it is retrieved by noon the next day.

Question

What if I do not RSVP in time?

Answer

If you do not RSVP by February 10th, 2025. You will be marked as “not attending.” We would love to celebrate with you but we have to give an accurate guest count to our vendors.
