Our Story

First comes friendship, then comes marriage

Quincy and I grew up down the street from each other and even went to many of the same birthday parties. However, our first memory of each other didn't occur until our freshman year of high school. We were able to build a great friendship through the classes, clubs, and friends that we shared together. Our friendship was strengthened further after high school through hikes, coffee, dinner, and trips to the movie theatre. Before we knew it, we were talking everyday and growing impatient for the next time we could be together. Whether we were together or apart, our bond continued to grow stronger. A short period of time later, we knew we were in it for the long haul! We are now celebrating four years together! We love spending our time traveling, watching movies, and cruising in our VW bus. Of course, our fur baby, Mr. Bo is right by our side during a majority of our adventures. Quincy and I are extremely grateful for the beauty that God has brought into our lives! We are enjoying planning our wedding and preparing for the next of many chapters to come!

The day he asked and the day I ugly cried

Septmeber 14th, 2021

It is no secret that I was itching for Quincy to propose for quite a while. However, Quincy is a huge planner, so he wanted to wait until the perfect time.During a trip to Alaska, we hiked Angel Rock. The hike was breathtaking and the weather was beautiful. At the top of the mountain, I went to pose for a picture, but heard Quincy say hold on. Once I turned, I saw him getting on his knee. My entire world stopped and time froze. Then, I heard the words "Will you marry me?" come out of my favorite person's mouth. Suddenly, I couldn't breathe or form any words! All I could do was cry! By cry, I mean sob. Quincy says he feels like he was on his knee for at least an hour before he stood up to hug me. I began to gather my emotions, but when he switched my promise ring for my engagement ring, the tears began to flow again! This moment was everything I had dreamt of and so much more! We spent the rest of the trip in an absolute state of bliss. I don't think it has sunk in for either of us that we are getting married yet, but we are counting down the days until September!
