As we begin this new chapter, we hold deep gratitude for every person who has loved and supported us along the way. Your presence on this day of promise means so much and we’re so grateful to share it with the people who mean the most to us. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Our story began on the dancefloor at a friend’s fundraising event in August 2017. Gabriella couldn’t help but fall for Nizaam’s effortless dance moves and infectious energy, while Nizaam was completely captivated by Gabriella’s radiant presence and smile. From that moment, something just clicked. As we got to know each other, we realised how much we truly had in common! A shared love for music, sound equipment, cars, learning new things, the outdoors, good food and good company. We laughed easily, spent hours talking about everything and nothing, and found so much joy simply being together. Our bond grew stronger over time as friends and eventually, on the 31st of October 2021, we shared our honest feelings with each other after a while of hinting and happily agreed to commit to a relationship together. 4 years later, here we are now having never looked back. In June 2023, we welcomed our little dog, Bento (meaning lunch box in Japanese - the perfect name for a sausage dog), into our lives, who quickly became our tiny ball of joy and sweet chaos. He can officially say "I love you" if you ask him nicely. Eventually, we realised that something was missing, that our lives, though full, weren’t being fully led by God. In time, we came to see how He had been working on our hearts all along, drawing us closer to Him and to each other. We began to pursue God together and to support one another in that journey, becoming pillars of strength for each other. His presence transformed how we love, live and grow together, and continues to be the foundation of everything we do. Then, on Good Friday, 29th March 2024, after a powerful morning service, we both felt it in our hearts to reconcile with God and to make things right for Him, and for each other. In that moment, we spontaneously decided together that we wanted to get engaged. We drove to a ring shop, chose the ring, and set out toward Hartbeespoort to find the perfect place to mark this turning point in our journey. As the sun began to set, and Little Paris was just about to close, we asked for five minutes and right there, unplanned but perfect, we got engaged. It wasn’t just a proposal but also a promise to honour God and each other for the rest of our lives. Now, as we prepare for marriage, we look back with full hearts for the journey that brought us here and we’re excited for all that’s still to come. Most of all, we’re thankful to have you be a part of the continuation of our story, one built on love, faith, and the grace of God.
