Our story started at Brock University, though we walked the same campus halls for years without crossing paths – Jamie, two years ahead of Gabriella. It wasn’t until the first day of teacher’s college – when Jamie chose to sit down beside Gabriella's brother, Anthony – that the threads of our lives finally began to weave together. What began as an introduction grew into friendship when we became roommates during our final years at Brock. Living together, we shared the everyday things like going to the gym, watching TV shows or movies with our roommates and conversations that stretched far longer than either of us planned. Somewhere in the midst of our everyday schedules, our friendship deepened into something much more. Seven years have passed since then, and the life we’ve built is something we both feel so grateful for. Together, we purchased our first home in May 2023, welcomed our loyal, energetic dog, Bruin, into our family, and found in each other the kind of partnership that makes the world feel both brighter and more grounded. Jamie pulled off the ultimate surprise with the help of our closest friends and family, and popped the question in October 2024. Now, as we take the step of committing to forever, it feels less like a leap and more like the natural continuation of a story that has always been meant to unfold this way. We are so excited to write the next chapter of our life and love story together as husband and wife, come June.
