A bad ass spot for hiking and adventuring. The Gold Chord trail is an easy family style hike with amazing views of an alpine lake in the Talkeetna mountains. Hike the quarter mile trail and have a picnic by the lake. In this mountain pass you will find an abandoned but historic gold mine... A literal town high up in the mountains forgotten in time.
Known as the Gateway to Denali National Park lies an historic mining town. Now it is home to great food and drinks and on a clear day you will get a view of Mount Denali.

Head 30 Min south of Anchorage on the Seward highway and enjoy a beautiful drive. Girdwood is our local ski town, in the summer take a tram ride up to the top of Mount Alyeska and get a great view of neighboring mountains as well as the Cook Inlet.
