In 2016, I was a bartender at the time, Eric was friends with the manager so he was either there after work or enjoying himself on his days off. There wasn't much conversation other than hello's or goodbye's. He made it a regular to tell me "smile" when he noticed I wasn't smiling while behind the bar. So I couldn't help but to smile when I seen him. One night after work, Eric and his good friend Terrance were talking, he walked me to my car where we eventually exchanged numbers and said our goodbye's. From there we texted and talked about our taste in music and started having conversations while I was at work. In between then and hanging out I started to realize I wanted to be more than just friends, not knowing if he had felt the same way. I guess we both thought we were in over our heads because we avoided each other for a little while, only for our friend Karen to steer us back in the same direction. From there our relationship grew and we both decided to give it a try. July 12, 2017 we had our first kid together, and the following year on May 12, 2018, Eric proposed to me in front of my family, his parents, two sisters and a couple of our friends the night of my grandparents' 50th anniversary celebration. We have also added our 5th baby girl on December 02, 2018. We are excited to finally become one and make our plans into reality. We used to sit on my grandparents front porch and talk about marriage and it is finally going to happen. We can't wait to celebrate with our family and friends as we start our life together as Mr. & Mrs. Eric Castillo.
