Our favorite BBQ in Houston, and ranked number three in Texas Monthly's Top 50 BBQ joints! It's best to eat for lunch - before 2 pm at the latest - because popular cuts sell out by the afternoon. The line can be long, but it moves pretty fast.
Our favorite spot for soup dumplings and Seczhuan food. We love the dry fried fish. This restaurant is in Rice Village, which is an adorable area of town near Rice University. It's perfect for walking around during the day or at night.
A truly authentic Japanese sushi bar - no frills, casual, with great sushi. Be prepared for a long wait - Oishii doesn't take reservations. The restaurant is very small, so this is only a good option for parties of two or three during off-hours. Make sure to order the inari and tamago nigiri - our favorites.
