"I'm finally going to have neighbors next door! I wonder what they'll be like," thought Gabriella as a U-Haul pulled up to the driveway of the house to her right. As a small army of people get out to unload all the belongings, there were two guys that seemed to be directing the operation. Gabriella thinks they look about her age... She ponders the situation, "Well I should at least go to meet them and say hi... but it's the middle of the workday and I don't want to seem too forward." After another half hour of internal struggle and very distracted work, she decides to take her dog Harvey for a "coincidental" walk past the new neighbors. As she's closing the door behind her and sending a quick prayer up to God, a fleeting thought crosses her mind, "My mom would've told me to put on some lipstick." An hour later Gabriella returns from her meet and greet, grinning to herself and pulling out her phone. "They're cute!" she types to her best friend. Little did she know, Trevor was next door saying exactly the same thing about her.

The Event: Country Dancing @ Sundance Told from Trevor's Perspective 2 Days Before - Trevor hasn't been swing dancing in a while, but he's excited for a fun evening getting to know Gabriella. 1 Day Before - The euphoria that she said yes to a date has worn off, and there seem to be some minor logistical problems. His ankle had recently been broken, and he hadn't been cleared to do any activities by his doctor yet. A cowboy boot is basically the same as a medical boot right? 12 Hours Before - Trevor has deemed his truck unfit for a woman to travel in, and begins furiously cleaning it. 6 Hours Before - Trevor discovers that his boot jeans and socks are dirty and throws them in the laundry. 4 Hours Before - Trevor realizes that he remembers no dance moves, and is now googling how to swing dance. 2 Hours Before - Trevor feels like he could successfully move in a circle and it might pass as dancing, but now realizes he has no idea where Sundance is, how much it costs to get in, or how to get there. 1 Hour Before - Trevor remembers his clothes that were abandoned in the washer and are still soaking wet. He frantically throws them in the dryer on high. 15 Minutes Before - Trevor squeezes into jeans that have definitely been shrunk by their recent abuse in the dryer, and finishes getting ready. Date Begins - Trevor knocks on the door, and out comes Gabriella; she's beautiful and all smiles. All the nerves leading up to the date are gone. 30 Minutes Later - He took a few wrong turns getting to the venue, but the conversation was flowing, and Gabby seemed to be having fun. 45 Minutes Later - Trevor leads Gabby out to the dance floor, quickly realizes that he actually doesn't remember how to dance, but nothing seems to matter except Gabby's beautiful smile. A Few Hours Later - Trevor drops Gabby off at her house after a fun night of dancing. Full of joy and anticipation, both were eager to see where God would lead them.

It's 9am and Gabby is about to start work when she gets a text from Trevor... "Oh he wants to 'get lunch' in the middle of a random Thursday huh. If there's one thing Trevor can't do, it's keep a secret - today must be the day! He's finally going to propose!" With all thought of work abandoned, Gabby immediately rushes to the closet and begins picking out a cute outfit and redoing her makeup. A few hours of nerves and excitement later, Trevor knocks on the door and they head in to Windsor. "That's weird, why did Trevor drive us to the park when we were supposed to be going out for lunch? Maybe he has a cute picnic set up somewhere along the trail!" As they set off hand-in-hand, Gabby is looking left and right around every corner to spot a picnic. As no picnics seem to materialize, and they pass the last gazebo on the trail, Gabby begins to think that maybe she had misread the situation after all. Randomly, Trevor stops along the trail and pulls them off to the side. As Trevor is pouring out his heart for her, Gabby spots a random runner coming up behind them on the trail, and nearly stops the conversation to wait for better timing. Oblivious, Trevor plows ahead and gets down on one knee just as the stranger passes by. Runner - "Oh my gosh! Congratulations!" ...*Some awkward seconds of silence*... Trevor - "Gabriella, will you marry me?" Gabby - "Yes! Of course yes!"
