We met our senior year of high school. A mutual friend of ours, Valeria, wanted us to go to prom together. I, Gabby, really wanted a prom date, but Mark was much more hesitant. After being encouraged by our friends we finally hung out. We realized we had so much in common and we really connected. We ended up having the best time at prom together, dancing and laughing all night. On May 12th, 2017, Mark asked me to be his girlfriend. We have been together ever since. We survived long distance, while I was away at college, We truly have been each other's best friend and biggest supporters. We developed many great traditions in the years we were long distance, always looking forward to doing fun things during visits. Our favorite tradition was by far going to the Tuscaloosa Barnyard. This barnyard was our yearly tradition during the fall. Every year Mark and I would visit the barnyard for their great pumpkin patch and other fun activities. It will always be such a special place for the both of us. Since we loved it so much, Mark felt it would be a great place to propose to me. I was completing not suspecting it, thinking it would be just another one of out traditional trips. We became engaged on October 23, 2020 at the Tuscaloosa Barnyard. After a couple of years of waiting and planning, we will finally begin our married journey together on January, 28th, 2023.
