The Wedding Website of Johnathan Olson and Gabriella Rossini

Flight

Getting There

Château de la Couronne is nestled in the countryside on the border of Charente and Dordogne, with two convenient gateway airports depending on your travel plans. Those flying directly from the US will most likely arrive into Charles de Gaulle (CDG) in Paris. From there, a high-speed train to Angoulême takes approximately 3 hours, followed by a 30-minute drive to the château. We recommend booking train tickets in advance for the best rates and leaving plenty of buffer between your flight arrival and departure. For those of you exploring Europe beforehand, Bordeaux is your closest option, just about an hour and 45 minutes by car from the château.

Hotel

Where to Stay

A small number of guests will be hosted on-site at the château. For those staying nearby, we've handpicked two hotels in Angoulême, both within about 25 minutes of the venue, that we're happy to recommend. Mercure Angoulême Hotel de France 1 Place des Halles Centrales, 1600 Angoulême A 4-star hotel in a historic building at the heart of town, overlooking the market square. Angoulême is a walled city with churches, monuments, and plenty to explore on foot. Hôtel Le Saint Gelais 12 Rue du Père Deval, 16000 Angoulême A 4-star hotel set in a renovated abbey in the old city center, with a pool, terrace, and highly rated restaurant.
