Michael James Mongan is literally a gentleman, and a scholar. Though he grew up on the other side of the tracks (Sausalito), in high school he became the leading instigator of the CTP, and has been Gabriel's Big Brother ever since (he likes to watch). He also acts as big brother for the state of California as Solicitor General.

Teddy and Gabriel have been getting blamed for things they may or may not have done since meeting in Kindergarten. It was always Teddy or Gabe's fault, even when neither were around. We're fortunate Ted's wife Michelle was in the other Kindergarten class, and was spared seeing them running headfirst through walls of blocks they built, or there might never have been a wedding. Gabriel was the best man at Ted's wedding, and all that can be said was their Cell phones and the ring were never lost for long.

The woman responsible for supervising Shanna at her first cosmetics job, planning the first of many sober (wink wink) Vegas weekends, sleeping through a fire alarm during her and Shanna's time living together in San Francisco, and this entire wedding! Yes, Nikki (but really her husband, Kevin) not only introduced the couple to be but got to be part of the debauchery of their first date! You were part of the first date, and will be there on our first day of marriage

While working at a PF Chang's in San Diego in 2002, Alvin was immediately (and rightly) promoted to bartender over Gabriel, and Gabriel hated Alvin. Shortly thereafter, Alvin would shine his kindness, friendship and generosity on Gabriel, and became a shoulder to cry on, had a couch to crash on, and became like a brother for the rest of their lives. An idiot brother, but brother to an idiot as well.

The Bernie master, non-stop laugher, newly married…Carolyn Cairo! Was it instant friendship?! No, but ultimately, booze, and a fake bachelorette party brought them together, and Shanna is lucky enough to now call Carolyn one of her closest friends…thank you Las Vegas!

Married to Rachel, Gabriel's sister, Todd has been part of the family for so long there isn't an in-law in his title anymore. Todd is our "in" at the Yacht Club, serving on the dining committee with distinction, he's so stylish that his Pennyloafers, wear Pennyloafers.

We would find out around date 3 that Shanna was not the Freiberg's first Stern, when we pieced together that Rachel, and Daniel (Shanna's brother) were longtime friends, and Gabriel even knew Daniel from parties at Rachel's. Who knew that two years later they would soon be family.
