Neighborhood Recommendations

While the pyramids are exciting to visit, we don’t recommend staying nearby; the neighborhoods aren’t the best and they’re quite far from the areas you’ll likely spend most of your time in. For a better experience, we recommend staying in the middle of Cairo. Below are some of our favorite neighborhoods: - Maadi: Suburban, calm, and family-friendly - Downtown Cairo: Lively city vibes, close to historic sites - New Cairo / Fifth Settlement: Modern area with shopping centers and amenities (absolute favorite)
