They met in Downtown San Diego at a club (which was very out of character for both of them). Gabriel had just moved to the Mira Mesa neighborhood and after his friends finished helping his family and him move in, they went Downtown to watch a Supercross race at PetCo Park. Meanwhile, Natalie was sitting at home and her roommate at the time , Charlotte, wanted to go out to PB and was trying to convince her to come with. Natalie was hesitant but finally gave in and went out with Char. Back to Gabe, after the race was over his brother, Eduardo, asked him if he wanted to go to club downtown, Gabe denied and wasn't interested. Ed was persistent, mentioning that his friends had a table and it would be fun. Gabe recognized the DJ playing at this club and decided to go with his brother since he had a great argument: Gabe wouldn't mind going to a club if he could have somewhere to sit and enjoy the music (guy is lazy). As for Nat, apparently the scene at PB was not it, and her and Char decided to give downtown a shot. She recognized the DJ that was playing at a near by club. Nat and Char got into this club and started dancing where she noticed Gabe and gave him a wave. Gabe, being oblivious, didn't notice at first but then he saw the prettiest girl in the room looking at him, he couldn't believe it. He asked her to come join him at the table where they danced together all night. Finally the venue closed down for the night and as the crowd dispersed, they went their separate ways. Gabe was thinking, "Maybe I should've asked for her number?" 30 minutes go by and, by chance, they ran into each other a couple of blocks down the way. Gabe got his chance to ask for her number, she gave it to him..... The rest is history
