Gabriel and Mireya met in 2015 on the Choreoblock Dance Team (Hip Hop) at THE University of North Texas. They had no intentions of dating or pursuing each other until late fall when Anthony (Gabriel's Groomsmen) finally "forced" Gabriel to make a move during a performance. That night, the nervous Gabriel took Mireya to Buffalo Wild Wings and luckily scored her phone number. For some reason, Gabriel thought it was a great idea to ask Mireya on an official date...the day before Thanksgiving; however, Mireya happily accepted. After that day, their love had its ups and downs; nevertheless, they took the leap of faith of spending forever with each other on August 6, 2022, when Gabriel finally popped the question at the top of Reunion Tower.
