" What's Asoebi ? "
Asoebi (pronounced ah-shoh-eh-bee) is a beautiful Nigerian tradition that means “family cloth.” It’s a way for family and friends to show unity, love, and support for the couple by wearing coordinated colors or fabrics during the celebration. For our wedding, we’re honoring this tradition by inviting guests to participate through our chosen colors — champagne for women and black for men. Women may also choose to wear a gele (traditional headwrap), and men a fila (cap), as a way to celebrate our cultural roots and stand with us in unity and joy. Your participation is completely optional — what matters most is your presence and love as we celebrate together!
