Serendipity is two awkward, language-obsessed, gaming-loving foreigners from two different states in the US (California and Montana) meeting at the same language school in Japan in the same year (2009), falling in love, and sticking together through eight years of life changes and wacky moves. From Yokohama in 2009; to a year of long distance while Jamie was studying at Portland State and Gabe was studying at Stanford; to five years in the Bay Area; and finally (after a sixth move), settling down in a new house near Portland, Oregon this year, we've been through a lot together. It's time for us to stick it to the forces of bigotry by exercising our newly-won right to marry - and to get some awesome tax breaks in the process. Joking aside, we're delighted to finally be getting hitched, and even more delighted to share it all with you. Please join us as we take this next step together. Because the ceremony itself will be smaller, we'll be using our pre-reception to celebrate with our friends and family together. There will be food and drinks provided, so please come and spend time with us as we prepare for the big day!
