Our Story

The story of Cass and Gabe begins online on the dating app Hinge - after both having had the app for under a month! Cass happened to be at mile 49 out of Gabe's 50 mile location preference, so by fate we were fortunate enough to match with each other. For the first date, we went to Maria Cuca's Mexican Cuisine and hardly touched our food because we were so nervous. Cass's first words to Gabe were: "Oh my God you have beautiful teeth." Being the romantic one, Gabe's first words to Cass were: "Sorry I'm late, I missed an exit." For the first year of our relationship, we lived about 1 hour apart from each other and made many roadtrips between Dallas and Keller, Texas. After Gabe graduated with his Master's degree, he somehow convinced Cass to move into his apartment in Dallas. 3 months later, life threw us a curveball when suddenly Gabe got a new job offer requiring a relocation to none other than New Orleans, Louisiana - a place both of us hardly knew. Cass took a leap of faith and decided to leave her life in Texas behind to follow Gabe to New Orleans, and from that point on, our relationship blossomed into the love we will all celebrate on October 30th. In New Orleans, we were forced to rely on each other and we learned so much about ourselves, each other, and how we wanted to form a beautiful future together. Every Wednesday night is date night where we try a new restaurant in the city, which rarely disappoints. We've met some of the best friends in our life, hosted old friends and family in our little 2 bedroom apartment in the heart of the city, and made memories that will last a lifetime in a city that is older than the United States itself. While we have loved our time in New Orleans, our wedding is a "last hurrah" of sorts for our time here. Shortly after our wedding, we will be returning to Dallas for another work opportunity - and to be closer to both sides of our family. We will miss the new family we have made in Nola, but we will need everyone's help to send us off into starting our new family in the best way possible! We can't wait to see you all there. Love, Cass and Gabe
