We're so excited to celebrate our special day with you!

We met in Chicago in early 2016 while I was attending optometry school and Gabriel was attending medical school. Gabriel approached me in a coffee shop and asked me what I was studying (he talked about himself a lot too, haha). After we hit it off, he asked me to get froyo with him. I said yes and the rest is history! Once we finished school, Gabriel was accepted to a PM&R residency at Indiana University, so in July 2020 we packed our bags and moved from Illinois to Indiana and bought a home. I went on to work at the VA hospital and received my fellowship. In February 2021, we received devastating news when Gabriel was diagnosed with cancer. You never think it will happen to you when you're young, but life has its struggles that you must overcome. We grew closer together and were each other's support system. From traveling to Cincinnati for trial treatment to pushing through chemo and radiation while still working every day in his residency is amazing and inspiring! I am so proud of him and all my family/friends/people who have and had cancer. You are all so amazing and strong. Gabriel is now thankfully in remission, and we are living our best lives! We can't wait to begin married life together and for all the adventures that have yet to come.
