As you've known us, we have told the story a million times and it's hilarious every single time. Through the halls of Mundy's Mill High School, Gabriela (Gabby) saw Kendrick for the first time. Though she didn't know his name, she made it her mission to find out who that goofy, tall, van-wearing long-haired boy was. She asked dozens of her classmates throughout the day and had no luck. About to give up with her search she made it to Chorus class and gave it one last shot, and asked an upperclassman if they knew the boy she had been describing all day. Finally, someone had a name, and knew who she was talking about! That one friend, Justin Davis, set it up and arranged for us to meet up on 200 hallway early monday morning, May 3rd. Anxiety ridden she woke up that morning trying to work out all the kinks of her uniform, wanting to be perfect. A teal aero collar shirt, black skinny jeans and NIKE blazers was the go-to fit. She avoided Justin first, just to afraid to meet her dream boy but he found her and led her right to Kendrick's locker. While Justin set the stage, she watched behind the corners of the 100 hallway as she had done within the weeks before, like a hawk stalking her prey. Justin gave her her cue, and her heart sank to her feet, sweat laying down her baby hairs and she was there, one on one with her forever after. Kendrick waved that single wave and gave her a smile, and from there she was stuck. After every class period, she came to him and they were stuck like glue from then.

Gabby has been waiting for this moment as long as she can remember. Since childhood, Gabby has always wanted to be a wife, and since meeting Kendrick, she knew she wanted to be HIS wife. Kendrick, the man with the plan, had a vision of how he wanted their beginning to begin. Although they had many different views on how to get to marriage, they always had that goal in mind. Kendrick set up many opportunities for their perfect moment, but Gabby just continued to get in the way. His first attempt, his graduation day. Family over, and all the love and food arranged, it was perfect BUT Gabby wanted to ensure that that day was solely for him and his accomplishments. No worries right? Wrong, the next best opportunity, Hawaii! We recently went to Hawaii to send our beloved Mom, Tila, home. During this trip Kendrick knew that it had to happen here in paradise. He set up a proposal with a company in Hawaii to set everything up on the beach. The perfect proposal, most only dream about... couldn't happen. In the first few days of the trip, Gabby's asthma flared up and sent her to the Urgent Care....IN HAWAII!! Totally ruined his time frame, and now he's scrambling. Nonetheless, what's meant to be will be. Friday, May 19th, 8:30 PM Derrick and Adrick came back into Aric's hotel room where we were all playing Quiplash. They said that Kendrick needed me in our hotel room. Completely unaware, she ran from the other side of the resort just to make sure he was okay. Once she keyed into the room to her surprise there are candles lit everywhere with Let's Get Married by Jagged Edge playing in the background. Ivy string lights hanging with the Waikiki skyline in view , balloons, lei's and roses waiting. Kendrick had made the perfect moment and asked Gabby to be his wife. It was never a question of if, but when. The best day of their lives.... so far!
