We met in college while running track, but from the very beginning something just felt easy. Being around each other felt natural—like we had known one another forever. What started as a simple friendship quickly turned into something much more, and over the past eight years we’ve grown side by side through every season of life. We started by running laps together, and now we’re running through life side by side. The next chapter of our story began during Julian’s birthday trip to the Florida Keys at the Bungalows—a trip Julian had originally planned for himself. The forecast called for a stormy weekend, but on Saturday, October 11—a day we will always remember —the skies unexpectedly cleared. The ocean was calm, the sun was shining, and we spent the day doing what we love most: being by the water. As the sun began to set, Julian got down on one knee and asked Gabriela to marry him, and just like that, we ended the day not only as best friends, but as fiancés. Because the ocean has always been such a special place for both of us, we always knew we wanted to begin our marriage by the water. It feels only fitting that we’ll be celebrating our wedding at the Key Biscayne Yacht Club, as we start this next chapter of our lives together. We feel so lucky to share this moment with the people we love most, and we can’t wait to celebrate with all of you.
