In 2013, Gabriela and Jay met while working at the mall guest services desk together. After a year of being friends, flirting and crushing on each other, the two finally hung out outside of work at a Halloween party. Gabriela was dressed as a sexy cowgirl and Jay was a ninja turtle. After a few beers, the two confessed they liked each other and would soon go on their first date. After talking for hours over beers and onion rings, "I knew she was the one" Jay likes to say. Gabriela and Jay would spend the next 7 years making memories, laughing, traveling and growing together. On their 7 year anniversary the couple got engaged in Monterey, California. With all the uncertainty in the world during the pandemic, the couple decided to have an intimate ceremony and would later celebrate with family and friends when the time was right. Gabriela and Jay said their vows next to the lake at sunset on 02-02-2022. The couple walked down the aisle to "Everybody wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears, one of their favorite songs to play on long drives and sing together. Followed by a dinner with family, the couple ended the night by going to a brewery in their tux and wedding dress to have a few beers, like they always did together. We are so happy to finally be able to celebrate with all of our close friends and loved ones! Sharing this special time with you all means the world to us.
