Everett and Gabriela’s story began in college, where their paths first crossed in 2016. Everett pledged Phi Beta Sigma in the fall of 2015, while Gabriela pledged Zeta Phi Beta in the spring of 2016. Though they were both involved in campus life and attended many of the same events, their paths only crossed in passing. However, they shared many common interests, and over time, they began to frequent the same gatherings, gradually becoming friends. Years passed, and despite running in similar circles, they never really spent time together. That all changed one evening when Everett was a DJ for his now mother-in-law’s 50th birthday party. It was at that event that something clicked, and from that night forward, the two became inseparable. As the years went on, especially during the pandemic, their bond grew stronger and more profound. What started as friendship quickly blossomed into a deep and undeniable love. The quiet moments, shared laughs, and countless memories only brought them closer together, eventually leading them to this day—a day to celebrate the beautiful love they’ve built. From chance encounters to a lifelong connection, their story is a testament to the power of timing, friendship, and love.
