Question

Where is the wedding?

Answer

The Wedding is at The White Barn 19114 Powell Rd, Brooksville, FL 34604 Guests May Arrive between 2:15 and 2:45

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you do NOT take pictures during the ceremony. We have hired some pretty amazing photographers and videographers to capture this special moment and we PROMISE to share all of the photos with you as soon as they are available. We'd really love to let their work shine without competition from smart phones and handheld devices. That being said, after the ceremony, knock yourself out and take as many pics as you'd like! We'll be happy to pose for a few for you too!

Question

How can I get from place to place? Is there a shuttle?

Answer

Unfortunately, at this time there will not be a shuttle service to or from the venue, however, Uber and Lyft are popular services in this area and will be able to help you get from place to place. It's important to note that cars MAY NOT be left at the venue overnight so please note that if you drive to the event, you will need to drive away from the event as well.

Question

How should I dress?

Answer

The dress code is Semi formal, so slacks, button-downs and dresses are preferred. The events are mostly outdoors so keep in mind the weather for the day. You may want to bring a jacket or sweater. With the ceremony being outdoors, keep in mind your footwear. Especially for the ladies, we recommend that you wear shoes that are friendly to grassy environments.

Question

Is there a DJ or band?

Answer

We've got an awesome DJ for you! We've added a spot on your RSVP Card for you to tell us some of your favorite songs so we can make sure he plays them! 😉 There's only one line but don't let that stop the family! You can write as many as one song per guest! Have fun with it! If you missed it on your RSVP, reach out to us ASAP and we'll try and add it to the list!

Question

Do I need cash or is there an open bar?

Answer

We will have beer, wine and soft drinks available. You will only need to bring cash for tips or for the after-party event if you choose.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out and we'll see how we can help you!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Nobody loves kids more than these two elementary educators, however, we would really love for this to be your night off to celebrate and enjoy yourselves to the fullest! If you live in the area and need recommendations for babysitters, feel free to reach out! We might have someone in mind!

Question

COVID Question: I received an invitation but can't make it to the wedding. Is there any way I can join in virtually?

Answer

Thank you so much for making such an effort to share this special day with us! We have put together a virtual link so that those of you who aren't able to be there with us physically, can still be there with us virtually. Here is the virtual link, accessible on 2/27/21, using the password: "Wedding" https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85064084380?pwd=eEZNRDkxNnhEV1NYNEtNb09Nc1lJZz09

Question

COVID Question: RSVP's are sent but I'm no longer sure if we are comfortable with attending the event, given the stats. What should we do?

Answer

We totally understand if you decide not to come due to the pandemic. Your health, safety and comfort is our priority. So even if you decide not to come, we know that you'll be there in spirit. At this point our final counts have been sent to vendors so we do appreciate you letting us know as soon as possible, if you won't be attending as it helps us coordinate accordingly with our vendors in case any adjustments need to be made.

Question

COVID Question: Is the date set in stone or is there a chance it may change?

Answer

At this point, we have full intentions to stick with the date as planned. However, the pandemic may cause us to postpone or cancel if needed. We have no way of knowing for sure what changes will be needed but we will do our best to keep you posted with updates as soon as we have them. We thank you so much for your patience throughout the planning process.

Question

COVID Question: What are you doing to make it safe for guests?

Answer

At this time, we've been working very closely with our vendors & staff to make sure that additional safety procedures are in place. Since the venue is entirely outdoors or open-air, we have the ability to space out seating further than usual, as needed. We have additional sanitizing stations available & masks will be encouraged. We'll also have temperature checks at the entrance as an additional safety measure. Social distancing, limiting physical contact, consistent handwashing, masks & cleanliness are top priorities for all staff & guests. Given the limited research behind the effectiveness of the vaccine & the fact that immunized persons could potentially still be carriers, we'll also be asking ALL guests, whether vaccinated or not, to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test upon entry. Please see below for a list of free or low cost testing sites in the area. We will also be sure to follow any further recommended CDC Guidelines based on the severity of the pandemic at that time.

Question

COVID Question: Do I need a mask? Or are you giving them out?

Answer

As of right now, we currently have plans to provide disposable masks as needed, however, it is encouraged that you bring your own masks that fits your needs.

Question

COVID Question: When do I need to take the COVID test?

Answer

Ideally, the closer you take your test to the wedding, the better, so we know your exposure between your (negative) result & attendance at our wedding has been limited. However, many places have waiting periods for both scheduling and receiving results. In some cases scheduling can take up to 3 days & results can take up to four. So we recommend calling (or going online) to schedule the test about a week prior to the wedding & getting tested about 4 days prior to the wedding. If you're able to get a guaranteed appt. for a rapid test (results in 24 hours) even closer to the wedding date, even better. We also know some family & friends will be arriving in town several days prior to the wedding & it's strongly suggested that you test yourself before exposure with other early arriving guests who you may be in contact with before the wedding just to be safe. Please use your best judgement in determining your test date & give yourself ample time to schedule the appointment & receive results.

Question

COVID Question: Do I still need a test if I'm vaccinated or if I've been in quarantine?

Answer

Yes. At this point in time, there's still much that's unknown about the vaccine & the pandemic as a whole. There's some evidence that vaccinated persons can still be carriers & pass the virus to others. As the hosts of this event we feel it is our responsibility to do everything in our power to make sure the wedding is a safe place for all of our guests. We've therefore decided that we cannot, in good conscience, allow for some to be tested & not others. We ask that ALL guests take a COVID-19 test within the week leading up to the wedding day & as close to the event day as possible. If your test is positive or you've been in contact with someone who's been positive in the 14 days preceding the wedding, we ask that you please stay home & take care of yourselves. We understand if this may impact your decision to attend the event. If it leads to a change in your RSVP, we ask that you please notify us about your plans as soon as possible so that we can plan accommodations accordingly.
