How we met

High School Sweethearts

We met in school when we were 16 years old. You could say we’re high school sweet hearts! One day, after school, Madison was standing in the parking lot talking to some friends next to Gabe’s car. When Gabe walked up, he spoke to their friends. They talked for a little while, when it started pouring rain, so they jumped into Gabe’s car. Gabe was playing with the cigarette lighter in the car, which he said didn’t work. He then preceded to burn his finger with the lighter. This made Madison laugh so hard. Once they started talking to each other, they became close quickly. They’ve been together ever since!

Proposal Story from Madison’s Point of View

7/3/2019

Most of you know July 3rd is my birthday, it also happens to be my favorite day we’ve had this far! So, he told me he had a whole day planned, but he didn’t tell me any details! Gabe took me to North Carolina! We went kayaking, ate at a local pizza place, and last of all we went hiking! It was a day full of beautiful views! We went hiking on this trail named, Beacon Heights. It was pouring rain, but I wanted to go see the view anyway! We were soaked! We got to the top and while I was looking at the view, Gabe set up the camera to take our picture. He got down on one knee right there! I was so surprised! The proposal couldn’t be anymore like us! The day was perfect!

Proposal story from Gabe’s point of view

7/3/2019

We went kayaking near Boone, NC. Great views on the New River, very peaceful. Then we ate a great local pizza joint in Banner Elk. After lunch, we made our way up to the Grandfather Mountain mile high swinging bridge. Best view I have ever seen in my life. After this, soaked from the pouring rain, we went to this low traffic trail that I found online. After walking up about a mile, we arrived to the large rock at the end of the trail. While taking pictures, I took a knee and asked the girl of my dreams to marry me. New best view that I have ever seen.
