Maid of Honor
Desiree met Katherine when she joined Gabe's team at work and they went to a team dinner to meet her and her husband. Desiree and Katie instantly clicked over Seether's cover of "Careless Whisper" and love of cheese. They’ve since traveled to Oregon, the Texas coast, and plan to do more traveling together once COVID dies down. Desiree and Katie continue to bond over their love of cheese, wine, Ru Paul’s Drag Race, and general dry sense of humor.
Garett Beckner
Best Man
Garett is Gabriel’s Best Man and friend of 11+ years. They met while Gabriel was visiting Austin through their mutual friend Jess. They became good friends pretty quickly after bonding over video games, tv, and movies. They’ve taken trips, recorded podcasts, and shared many meals of greasy breakfast food at Jim’s. Garett always has a level head, good advice, and time to listen.
Amy Meekings
Bridesmaid
Amy and Desiree met working together at PetRelocation. They shared a workspace with the only bathrooms in the building and became unfortunately intimately familiar with their coworker's bathroom routine. Amy and Desiree's friendship has grown exponentially over the years since then. They have built and enjoyed a glorious blanket fort, camping, and a trip to the Texas coast. They look forward to having more adventures together with her daughter, Desiree's odd-child (nonreligious godchild), Aya.
Jonathan Metts
Groomsman
Jonathan and Gabriel have been friends for most of the last 30 or so years. They met in the 3rd grade and have been friends ever since. They played video games and Magic the Gathering together, and later in life recorded podcasts and went to Phish shows. Jonathan is one of the kindest, smartest, and most articulate people Gabriel knows.
Lyndsey Rosales
Bridesmaid
Lyndsey and Desiree met in 2017 through Lyndsey’s husband Joel who Desiree worked with at the time. After a while, their friendship developed independently sharing a love of Top Chef, Ru Paul’s Drag Race, and delicious food. Lyndsey and Desiree have traveled to Colorado together to enjoy gorgeous hikes, tasty food, and delicious drinks. They are also looking forward to more trips in the future!
Joel Rosales
Groomsman
Joel and Gabriel met working at HomeAway where they had the good fortune to bump into one another in the break room playing Street Fighter. They’ve enjoyed late evenings with just the right amount of booze, later evenings with a little too much booze, and a trip to CO where they got to do some hiking in the Rocky Mountains. Joel is great for advice, fiercely loyal to his friends, and easy to talk to even when the conversation isn’t always easy.
Blane Harris
Bridesmate
Blane and Desiree met in 2017 through work. He was in a different department but shadowed Desiree to learn about her role to have a more all-encompassing understanding of the company. Since then Blane and Desiree have shared a love of musicals, drag shows, and carpool karaoke. Blane feels like a brother to Desiree and is the "Kimmy Gibbler" of their home.
James Cary
Groomsman
James and Gabriel met through his wife and Desiree’s Maid of Honor, Katie. They have since traveled together, spent countless late evenings over a bottle of wine or a flight of whiskey. James is always there for Desiree and Gabriel if they need him, and constantly supportive of their endeavors. He’s a great person with a kind and giving nature and Gabriel is extremely grateful to have him in his life.
Magdalene Thomas

Maggie and Desiree met in middle school. Maggie had the top locker, and Desiree the bottom. This lead to a comical and fun friendship after having books as well as other odds and ends dropped on Dezzy (As Maggie affectionately calls her). They’ve been close friends through all the peaks and valleys of life. Once Desiree introduced Maggie to Gabe they hit it off and have developed their own friendship. The three of them share a love of doodle dogs, board games, and Stardew Valley.
