Arielle and Gabriel try to stop by this classic lunch spot (formerly Eisenberg's) every time they’re in town. Arielle loves the Flat Iron Delight with a hand-mixed Coca-Cola, while Gabriel swears by the Mel Brooks sandwich (“It’s the best turkey you’ll ever have in your life”) and a chocolate egg cream. Walking through the door feels like stepping back in time and the food really is that good!
If you’re confident enough to brave the cold, Gabriel insists this is the best farmers market on the East Coast. With fresh produce, local cheeses, baked goods, and a pickle man (Arielle's favorite) it’s a nice spot for your morning walk—and a very New York experience. Arielle and Gabriel swear by She Wolf Bakery, if you're looking for a special treat.
Gabriel and Arielle have spent many an afternoon tucked into the Ace Hotel lobby, getting work done and sipping on cappuccinos. If you’re looking for a great dinner spot, their in-house restaurant Koloman is a wonderful pick for a fancier night out.
Of course, Arielle couldn’t put together a list of recommendations without including a bookstore. The Drama Book Shop has great coffee, an amazing selection of plays, and—if you're lucky—a Lin-Manuel Miranda sighting. Gabriel recommends picking up something by Alistair McDowall, but Arielle insists you ask her for a suggestion… nothing would make her happier.
