The welcome party will be at Salón Gallos in the center of Mérida. Note the location change from La Negrita. There will be a few light bites in addition to drinks at this fun bar in town. Can’t wait to see you, and welcome you all to Merida!

Choose-your-own-adventure day

12:00 am - 8:45 pm

You can use this day to stroll through Merida's charming streets, go up to any of the beaches near Merida (such as Progreso, Uaymitun, etc), or check out any of the hundreds of cenotes scattered around the area. Christina and I, as well as our wedding entourage, will be heading to Cenote Haciendas Mucuyche from 12pm to 2:30pm. Cenote Mucuyche is a beautiful, large hacienda, and comes with a guided tour (Spanish and English) of the Hacienda, a bit of the history of Merida, and culminates by taking a dip in their two cenotes. The entire tour inclusive of the cenote swimming is approximately 2 hours. It also has a yummy restaurant and a big swimming pool. Should you choose to go to Mucuyche as well, admission into the Hacienda is 650 MXN per person (the website has not been updated as of January 1st 2023). You can pay with cash (MXN) or card. Please bear in mind that we will not be providing transportation for this day, so plan accordingly. The cenote is 1 hour away from Merida.

Wedding

Tropical, but make it fancy. Think: floral prints, suits in lighter hues, and fun hats. The grass can be soft, so maybe rethink stilettos.

Shuttles will leave downtown Mérida (exact location: Parque Santa Ana), so please arrive at the park by 2:30pm to catch the shuttle! Once you arrive, you will be greeted with refreshing coconuts and we will immediately proceed to the ceremony which will start at 4:30pm. We will have a cocktail hour with a variety of hors d'oeuvre available, with vegan/vegeterian options. For the dinner, please select your meal preference from the drop down below. Our meals are inspired by Yucateca cuisine, so they will be delicious! (feel free to google translate the descriptions, but basically we have beef, fish, and vegan/vegeterian options). Bear in mind that the beef has pork in it (Cochinita). If you choose the delicious vegan/vegeterian (V) option, your starter and desert will also be vegan.

Torna Boda Pool Party

Your swim suit!

Join us for the Torna Boda (Mexican tradition for the party day after the wedding)! There will be activities, food and drinks. Shuttles will leave downtown Mérida (exact location: Parque Santa Ana) at 11am sharp. Return shuttles will go back to Merida at 4pm.
