Decoding the Dress Code

Desi Formal: Traditional wedding attire — elegant sarees, lehengas, veshtis, and formal kurtas in rich, vibrant colors. Desi Cocktail: Chic and festive South Asian wear — lighter fabrics, stylish silhouettes, and celebratory colors. Think lehengas, shararas, shalwar kameez, or kurtas. Beach Formal or Cocktail: Think flowy dresses, dressy jumpsuits, linen suits, and lightweight fabrics suited for warm weather and seaside celebration. Don’t forget a comfy pair of shoes to dance the night away! Please avoid wearing all-black and all-white outfits. When in doubt, overdress and add color - bold, cheerful, and celebratory looks are encouraged!

Where can I purchase desi attire?

We’ll be serving buffet-style at the receptions with plenty of options. Please let us know any dietary needs when you RSVP so we can accommodate them with our vendors.

Is there transportation to and from the ceremony?

Answer

We will provide shuttles on August 26th to the wedding hall in Colombo and from Colombo to the Blue Water Resort. See more information on our Travel section.

Children & Plus-One Policy

Answer

To allow all guests to relax and enjoy the evening, our celebration will be adults-only. Plus ones are welcome—just be sure to include your guest’s details when you RSVP.
