Payton was in Platte farming and I was in my second year of college at South Dakota State University. Payton came to Brookings to hangout with his friends, which happened to be my friends that lived across the hall from me. Payton and I became good friends, and they all would often joke that I was "one of the boys". The following year Payton decided to come back to school, after some time passed we randomly decided to go get drinks together. We clicked instantly and both knew we wanted to be more than friends. We followed our hearts, and here we are today!

We went to the Dominican Republic for spring break with our friends from college. We were playing sand volleyball on the beach and Payton said he had to run up to the room to grab "cash". Once sand volleyball was done, Payton and I went to go get a drink by the pool. Then, Payton insisted we go back to the beach to see our friends. We were walking down to the beach and I saw "MARRY ME" written in the sand. I was in complete shock, turned around and Payton was on one knee, I said YES!! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you! See you in Canton, SD!

A bus will be available for all guests going to the hotel following the ceremony and extending through the reception and dance.
