Maid of Honor
Gabi, my from our days winning championships as teammates on HVAA, to high school prom together, to surviving 3+ hours away in college, to moving apart into different cities, you have always stayed my best friend. Distance makes no difference in our friendship and I can’t imagine my life without you. Kevin, you are the perfect man for Gabi and I am beyond happy you are going to join in a lifetime of happiness together. Thank you for being her partner in life’s adventures so far - the best is yet to come! I love you both so much!
Maid of Honor
We met over 2 decades ago in kindergarten, grew up together&shared so much of our lives throughout the years. From the smile club& to living our adult lives, I couldn’t imagine it without Gab&her amazing support&friendship. Her grounded, Virgo nature has kept my airy Gemini head on Earth more than once&exactly at the right times! She has done everything she said she would when we talked about our futures&I couldn’t be prouder. I can’t wait to keep sharing adventures, learning together&packing myself in her suitcase when she leaves the East Coast (hope you&Kev don’t mind a roommate). The Kappes family has had 5 members as long as I’ve been around but they’re about to add a 6th &what a wonderful addition it will be. Thank you for keeping Gab happy,Kev &being the great guy you are. I love you

In 7th grade, Jaclyn befriended Gabi in her most awkward/emo phase when she was new to Lower Moreland. Since then, they accomplished many of bucket-list items, including going to fraternity parties at just 17, performing (in secret) the harmonies of the best songs of our generation (Birdman’s Pop Bottles & Jessie McCartney’s Body Language), going to Penn State, getting through sorority recruitment, running half-marathons & other races, &staying best friends through everything. They have experienced everything together, from concerts, taking trips down the shore& celebrating holidays and birthdays, to helping each other through petty break-ups & much bigger life decisions. Gabi & Jaclyn graduated from middle school, high school& college together & have supported each other through it all.

It is difficult to describe my friendship with Gabi in just a few sentences. We instantly became friends in middle school & had countless memories throughout high school both in & out of the classroom & at cross-country and track. Sleepovers & pool parties on the weekends were always a good time:) The shenanigans did not stop in college with visits to Penn State & Maryland to setting up reunions home in Phiily. It was unfortunate that we did long-distance for 4 years while I was in D.C. & Gabi was in NY but now we’re just a quick train away! I have been best friends with both Gabi & Kevin for almost 14 years now. I have seen their relationship blossom from middle school days to now. I cannot envision the two of them being without each other. Cheers to my two best friends getting married!

Growing up with Gabi as my only girl cousin was very intimidating! She has been easy to look up to& impossible to emulate. She is smart, kind, fun, artistic, passionate & beautiful, inside&out. Gabi has always been surrounded by dozens of friends & the most incredible clothes! As kids we would be roommates when Gabi would spend a few summer weeks in NY! We shared hysterical memories in Target trying on ridiculous things&one painfully funny memory of watching Gabi's DRAMATIC slip & fall. I could go on about our many Jones Beach trips, including a Blink 182 concert! Lastly, I'll never forget the life-changing day Gabi introduced my curly mop-top to a flat iron. She is one of my biggest female influences& I am blessed to call her my cousin. I am elated that I got to watch her grow&find love.

We didn’t know each other too well initially at PSU, but had friends in common. As a sophomore, I’d been debating about what to do junior year. I was in a friend’s room on Gabi’s floor, when she stuck her head in and mentioned she’d be studying abroad the next year. So we both went to South Africa& had many adventures - some of which we can speak about& some only we will ever know. The moral of this story is: thank God for Gab&her ambition, big dreams& her unmatched self-reliance Gabi, you have always & will continue - to inspire me & I’m so glad I joined you on a whim. I’m also glad you have someone so awesome to continue your adventures with, in Kev. & of course, I’m always here in case you want to break into a national park WHICH I’M NEITHER CONFIRMING NOR CONFIRMING ACTUALLY HAPPENED

I met Gabi sophomore year at PSU, when I joined the crazy nonstop party that is AXO. We hung out throughout school at sorority and THON events, but our real friendship didn't begin until senior year when I was at Gabi's house drinking wine, watching movies &making memories. Our friendship continued in NYC after graduating with brunches, girls nights &adventures. We have taken our friendship on the road-traveling &exploring fun, amazing, and sometimes weird places. Gabi is one of the best friends a girl could ask for&is one of the most thoughtful people I have ever met. It is fitting that she has found someone that is just as kind&caring. Gabi&Kevin are a perfect match & I feel lucky that I not only get to call them my friends, but that I get to celebrate& be a part of this special time.

Gabi & I's love for fighting cancer, dancing on tables & watching Disney movies brought us together at PSU. Though we first paid to be friends through AXO, our friendship has greatly paid us back with years of adventures, laughs & inebriated shenanigans. When not stealing from frats or getting late night at Redifer, we were super involved with PSU's Dance Marathon which got us spending even more time together outside of sorority-bonding. We were AXO THON chairs, on Dancer Alumni Relations (DAR) Committee, DAR Captains &danced together for 46 hours at THON as seniors. We’ve now lived in NYC for over 4 years &have adventured to many places: Assateague, Salem, MA, the Firefly Woodlands &Jersey Shore beaches. I feel so lucky to have Gabi&Kevin as friends & honored to be a part of this journey!

It was a beautiful gloomy day in State College when Gabi&Danielle first met on sorority Bid Day at Penn State as freshman. Though they first had to buy their friendship through the craziest sorority in all the land, it soon became clear that they didn’t need money to buy them love-they were true sistaz. They became best friends though their interests in themed socials, saving the environment, traveling, THON, dizzy bat, music, art&all things PSU. They have been through it all-from dancing 46 hours straight at THON to living the dirty hippy life camping at Firefly Music Festival. They were lucky to have Kev along with them for the ride through their friendship, as they could count on him for excellent dance moves&WAVE Blue Vodka. Danielle can’t wait to say ”””” on Gabi&Kevin’s wedding day.

Gabi and I met at the beginning of our freshman year at Penn State, during sorority recruitment. I wasn't sure if I'd find a sorority that felt like a fit for me -- then I met Gab. At the time, her super cool, gothic/hippie style and many ear piercings made me want to join whichever sorority she was joining. ;) From there our adventures got more interesting -- from spending time on an Indian reservation in Minnesota, to dancing in THON, hiking in Lake Tahoe and Yosemite -- and of course the many music festivals in between. Gabi has always been an amazing friend, and when times get hard, Gabi steps up. <3 I am so excited to be a part of Gabi and Kevin's lives, especially at this special time that we get to celebrate you two and your love. :)
Best Man
Time really does fly. Thinking back, we had some amazing and hilarious times together. From track parties in Aaron's basement to teaching me how to dance at Indigo. There was football, endless soccer and every crazy night in between. You were always there for me. I wouldn't trade that for anything. My favorite stories with you were from our most recent trip to Colorado. I'll never forget that climb to the top of Peak 6 in Breck. You hyped me through it even when I thought I was dead. Once we made it, I'll never forget that feeling. That was incredible. And then you sent it. I remember the first time you introduced me to Gab. I could tell by the way you looked at her that she meant the world to you. I'm truly so happy for both of you. Thanks for all the great memories we share together.
Best Man
Growing up as most big/little brothers, Kevin and I wrestled with eachother, went to the same daycamps, laughed together, and I always had someone to throw the blame on. Kevin told my parents about Gabi in 7th grade, but of course he didn’t tell me because he was afraid I wouldn’t shut up about it. After my mom gave me her name, I found out who she was soon after. I automatically approved without having to meet her because she was on the 7th grade basketball team. If any girl could stick with Kevin through his mop hair and pimple phase, she is a keeper. They have been inseparable from such a young age and that is truly admirable. I am honored to be able to stand with Kevin and the other groomsmen opposite Gabi and her bridesmaids on this special day.
Groomsman
Whoa it’s finally happening and with someone I’ve known for about half my life! I didn’t know much about Kevin when Gabi and Kev started dating. All I thought was, “man this guy must be really calm if he can stand my sister for more than 10 minutes.” And wow, was I right? Through Kappes family vacations, road trips to New York, multiple apartment moves, and more recently hectic parties - I’ve gotten to know Kevin a little better. I realize now that he is more than just calm - he’s nice, funny, and good to my insane older sister. He has a mannerism about him that takes away tension and makes every situation more fun and relaxed. The best part is he somehow knows how to gift Gabi some of his calmness when he’s around! So, Kevin, I hope you’re ready to join the family!

I guess I met Kevin about 10 (?!?) years ago when he was dating Gabi back at Murray Avenue. Of course, Gabi was too cool at that point to introduce her little brother to any of her friends, but over the years I’ve gotten to know Kevin little by little and especially in these last few years (mostly after they got that apartment in Brooklyn, which has a very comfortable couch FYI). Most of all I know that Kev has been such a positive influence in Gabi’s life and has definitely already become a part of our family (he’s already survived a few Kappes family vacations…). I look forward to bumming around in their apartment when I’m back on the East Coast and I’ll be glad to call him my brother when they tie the knot next Fall.

Despite having a mutual friend of DJ, and going to Penn State together, Kevin and I didn’t meet until a few weeks before graduation. We like to say there’s a good chance the 3 of us wouldn’t have graduated if we started hanging out earlier – so I guess it’s good it happened the way it did. Kev, Gabi and I have made great memories together from parties, to beach/ski trips, & music festivals. We have Gabi to thank for most of these epic events. She is one of the best event planners I’ve ever met! One of the things I admire most about Kev is that he’s up for anything & always has a positive mindset. It’s hard to find a couple as well-matched for each other as these two. I could not be more excited & honored to spend this special day together with both of you.

Kev and I have known each other since we were young kids in elementary school. We grew up playing sports together and hung out in the same group of friends. We became best friends after spending one college summer working together as roofers. After our sophomore year, I transferred to Penn State to join Kev, Gab, one Duane McCrory in the tom foolery that is State College. We spent many nights at the Phyrst and Zen Wings. After college, Kev and Gab moved up to New York but we continued to stay very close, spending many weekends visiting one another. When I moved to Dallas a year and half ago, they were the first to visit me. I know that wherever we go, Kev and Gabi will always be in my life. I’m very proud to stand by Kev as his groomsmen and watch him marry his best friend.

Kevin and I became friends freshman year of highschool. Kevin started dating my long time friend, Gabi, and well the rest is history. Through all of the track meets, poker nights, and video games, our friendship has always been rock solid. After going our separate ways for College, Kevin and I linked up in New York City and lived together for 2 years in a shoebox apartment. Through plenty of nights playing FIFA on our couch, going to beer halls or just hitting our favorite BBQ place, living with Kevin was the best experience you could ask for. We have a long list of things to look back on and look forward to, but my favorite times were hanging on our couch in New York, drinking beers, eating BBQ, and laughing uncontrollably at how bad we were at FIFA.

Kevin and I met at some point in elementary school. Even though we were never in the same classes, we always seemed to be around one another- whether it was playing games at recess, soccer in HVAA or sitting at the same lunch table. It was really easy to get close to Kev during the short times we were around each other because he is genuinely one of the nicest people I’ve ever known. Our friendship grew as we got older and even when we lived so far away we still found ways to stay in touch on a daily basis through fantasy sports. I was proud to have Kevin stand with me when I got married and am honored to be a part of his and Gab’s special day. I wish you both the best.

My first memory of meeting Kevin was in Second Grade. We met on the soccer field at recess and teamed up to dominate. That led us to play soccer with each other throughout our childhood, including HVAA, Middle School, and High School. We'd always kick the ball around together to warm up before practices and games. We also experienced Track & Field throughout high school together, and even though we trained in different event groups, I would always make sure to hold the blocks for Kevin’s races. But our friendship was way more than just soccer and track. We grew up and experienced life together. Even though I wish we lived closer together, the distance between us will never stop our friendship. I am very excited to be a part of your special day and wish you both the best. Love you guys.

Kev has been a rock in and a significant influence on my life but I can’t tell if it’s because we’ve lived the exact same life and we’re just victims of circumstance or if we actually like each other. From elementary school through high school, we were in almost every class together, cursed at eachother every night playing video games, and played travel baseball and HVAA together. We visited colleges and chose Penn State together - a random girl at Drexel said that it's not fun there when we asked her "Hey is it fun here?" We studied the same major, moved to NYC, and lived together in total for two years. Kev found Gabi and we couldn’t date the same girl so we finally started to show some separation. They're moving to Seattle next year, we'll see if this friendship is the real deal then.

Let me win with rockets in low gravity, knowing I’d never let him live it down. Gave us that famous blacked out Kevin one liner. Asked me to suffer through a nuked bathroom to potentially save him embarrassment at the house of a very special girl. A caring heart, humor to warm your day and an impressively potent aroma. All things Kevin gifts to us without the slightest of hesitation. Thanks buddy.
Ring Bearer
Flynn is Gabi’s little cousin who will be just over 3.5 years old at the wedding! Flynn loves the solar system and knows all about Cassini's mission to Saturn. When he's not watching NOVA documentaries, he enjoys watching movies with Gabi and Kevin when they babysit (Secret Life of Pets, Aladdin, Pochahontas, and Moana among the favorites). Flynn is very silly, loves to run around, and though he is usually a quiet guy, he can definitely be loud when he wants something! Gabi conveniently works just 4 blocks away from Gigi and Flynn in New York City so they get to play and read together all the time!
Flower Girl
Gigi is Gabi’s little cousin who will be just over 3.5 years old at the wedding! Gigi loves to dance and sing, especially "Let It Go" from Frozen and "How Far I'll Go" from Moana. She also loves play-doh, cooking in her play kitchen and stealing (and eating) Mama's lip gloss. Her favorite movies are Trolls and Frozen. Gigi is smart, great at sharing, a little sassy, and definitely not afraid to tell you “no!” Gabi conveniently works just 4 blocks away from Gigi and Flynn in New York City so they get to play and read together all the time!
Flower Girl
Violet is Gabi's cousin who will have just turned 3 at the time of the wedding. Violet is full of personality and energy! Some of her favorite things to do are art projects, cooking with her mom, singing, dancing, playing music, and reading books. If the TV is on it will be tuned to her favorite show - Mickey Mouse clubhouse. She also loves to spend time playing with and giving treats to her best standard poodle friend, Gracie and having play dates with her cousins, Gigi and Flynn.
