FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

Once you’ve received your save the date/formal invitation, please RSVP no later than December 9, 2027. You may RSVP by clicking the RSVP tab above, then searching for your name.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 4. Please arrive 15 minutes early to sit and get settled.

Question

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

We have a block of rooms available at the Columns if you’d like to stay directly on the reception site. Must reserve by November 9, 2027! For room options and rates, text Gabi directly (504-782-7082) to coordinate your reservation. See also Accommodations tab above.

Question

What is the attire?

Answer

Formal attire. Dark suits for men, and color is encouraged for the ladies! Since we’ll be second-lining immediately following the ceremony, we strongly encourage ladies to wear comfortable shoes for dancing! The wedding reception will take place indoors and outdoors, so we recommend having a jacket ready to pack (New Orleans weather varies drastically during January, so be sure to track the forecast when packing).

Question

What is a second line?

Answer

A second line is a celebratory parade where a brass band and newly weds are the 'first line' and family/friends form the 'second line' - our second line will immediately follow the wedding ceremony, kicking off the rest of the evening with dancing through the streets.

Question

What is a New Orleans style wedding reception?

Answer

In New Orleans, we opt for a lively reception-style dinner party instead of seated dinner. Dinner stations, plenty of drinks, and music will be plentiful. Open seating will be available.
