FAQs

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by March 20, 2026. An early RSVP is requested to help us plan! If you know you will not be able to attend, please let us know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. We truly appreciate the early heads-up!

Question

Will there be transportation to the wedding venue?

Answer

We are working on trying to have transportation from the wedding venue after the reception.however guests should prepare to find their own transportation to the villa. Ubers and taxis are relevantly easy to get. Important Note: For ubers/taxi, you will have to provide the uber/taxi the full address to Casa Valerie. The villa is inside a gated community of Lomas de Mismaloya and needs a gate code to get in. Closer to the wedding , we will give guests the code to give to their uber/taxi drivers to get inside. We will also give you our planner, Tammy's phone number so if you have any questions or troubles, you are able to reach out to her!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Unfortunately no. Due to limited space and wanting to keep this day more intimate, both ceremony and reception are adult-only events. We kindly request to keep it child-free. We hope this allows our guests to relax, unwind and enjoy the celebration with us. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Will there be any vegetarian options?

Answer

Yes! When submitting your RSVP, please let Gabe or I know of any allergies or dietary restrictions so we can try to plan accordingly.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi formal/ cocktail attire. We would love for you to dress up on our special day. Feel free to wear anything from cocktail attire to formal attire!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests firmly invited on your wedding invitation if you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We will be having an unplugged ceremony. This means we are asking that all phones and devices be put away and on silent/turned off during the ceremony. Our officiant will provide a period of time for everyone to take pictures/videos while we are at the altar and then kindly request all devices to be put away. Please enjoy the moment, in the moment.

Question

What time should I arrive for the wedding?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to start of ceremony. Please arrive at 4:30pm.

Question

How do I get to Mismaloya from the airport?

Answer

Ignore all the people on the walkway in the airport who will be hustling you for transportation and time-shares etc. Keep going until you are close to the exit doors of the airport and you will find a taxi booth where you can get transportation to Mismaloya. You will tell the people at the taxi booth you need to go to ZONE 3, MISMALOYA. A taxi from the airport should cost you $36 US dollars for 1-3 people in a taxi. The cost increases if you have more people. For a large group you will need to get a van, which will fit up to 10 people. This typically costs about $95 - $110 US dollars. Please print off and have the address of the place you will be staying at ready to show the taxi driver. Depending on traffic, going from the airport to Mismaloya takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We recommend staying near Zona Romantica, Conchas China, or Mismaloya - they are all near the venue and are great depending on what kind of experience you're looking for. We do have some hotels listed I do highly recommend the Barcelo hotel as it is the closest to our venue :)

Question

When should I book my flights/travels?

Answer

As soon as possible! It's recommended to book flights/travel sooner rather than later. I'd recommend taking a look on Google flights and setting up their alerts for any deals for the dates and/or downloading the Hopper app if you so you can keep an eye out for the best rates. Important Note: If you don't have a passport, I would recommend getting one as soon as possible, as it's required to travel, as well not letting your passport expire within six months of travel. Passport offices can be busy and delivery times can be delayed during peak seasons. If you need to apply or renew a passport, you should do so as early as you can!

Question

Is the wedding indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony and reception will be outdoors at Casa Valerie.
