When Gabe first moved to Michigan in 2014, he met Miranda at Paw Paw Seventh Day Adventist church for the first time at 14 years old. Over the next 2 years, they became close friends, little did Gabe know that Miranda had a crush on him. At long last, in 2016 they decided to start dating while at Michigan Adventure. From there neither of them expected things to move forward into a long-term relationship. However, after being with each other, they realized they were meant to be together, and they soon found more than a relationship. They found a friendship to last a lifetime.
During a global pandemic, Miranda and Gabe decided to take a long overdue anniversary vacation to the Upper Peninsula in Michigan. Making many stops such as Mackinac Island and Whitefish Point. The trip's whole point was to go see and enjoy the beautiful sights in the UP specifically Tahquamenon Falls. While hiking the trails around the falls they decided to set up a camera to capture photos of the falls and them together. That is when Gabe pulled out a ring, but not the right one, he pulled out the wedding band. After many laughs, he proposed with the right ring, which Miranda happily accepted. They spent the rest of the trip very excited to share the news.
