I’m going to tell you an incredible story - the story on how I met the love of my life, aka my future wife ;) 5 years ago I had a whole other life. It was back in 2017. I was 23 years old, aspiring to be the richest man alive. I thought I had everything I wanted - money, new car, rising career, and a woman I thought was going to marry. But then God had other plans for me. I lost everything. and at that point, the only thing left I could do was run to God. In the process of growing with God, I was asked one day to volunteer for St. Barnabas’ youth ministry. Little did I know, if I didn’t go, I wouldn’t have met my future SO. Later on that year in mid-fall, I was volunteering at a sacramental prep registration, giving out Krispy Kreme Donuts to the other volunteers. As I was handing out donuts, I saw this cute girl. As the gentleman that I was, I decided to smoothly walk towards her to give her the best. donut. Ever. (So you know, she doesn’t forget me). “Hi, would you like a donut?” I said with a smile on my face. Smiling back, she responds, “no thank you, I’m a vegan.” And at that moment on, I really thought she wasn’t the one. But kids, little did I know, that moment was how I met my future wife. - Gabe
