Hello family, friends, and honorable guests! We are extremely excited to announce our engagement and date for the wedding!
Julia: Gabe and I were talking online and decided to meet up for dinner. I suggested Sushi in DC; I knew the area in case I needed an escape. March weather in DC is all over the place. I didn't know what to wear! Gabe: Julia and I chatted back and forth online for a month before she finally agreed to meet me. Julia: We decide to meet at 6 and I had tried on every article of clothing in my closet. I was in a hoodie and thought that wasn't the best first impression. I messaged him and told him I was running a late. Gabe: I left work early to get ready and have enough time to get downtown and not be late. Julia: I messaged Gabe, letting him know I didn't stand him up maybe 10 minutes late... I was running to the metro... I was not more than 10 minutes late! Gabe: She was late. About 40 minutes or more. I started to believe she was pranking me. Or perhaps not even real. Julia: I got to the restaurant, and he was sitting at the first table on the second floor. I remember seeing him sitting there with his blue and green striped shirt (perfect for the cold/warm weather). He passed the cute test! Gabe: Julia arrived with a big smile and a hug. I guess she was real, after all. She also passed the cute test! Julia: I got water and apologized for being late. We ordered way too much food, ate off each other's plate, and talked the whole time. Gabe: I am generally a quiet person, but luckily Julia was there to help fill any uncomfortable silences. Julia: After dinner, we walked around DC and ended the night with a hug at the metro! He texted me that night. We set up another date and the rest is history. Gabe: Dinner, drinks, walking around DC and talking all night. No kiss after a great first date. That was disappointing. We spoke more and planned our next date, a romantic film starring Ryan Reynolds called "Deadpool." Julia: Who can say no to Ryan Reynolds for the second date! Gabe: Thank you, Ryan Reynolds for sealing the deal!
